Chapter 7
After reading chapter 7, I had an easier time trying to figure out what my website would look like if I used the essay that I have in mind. My question deals with cutting the paper into appropriate sections. I think other ideas, like a list of poems, would work easier because the poem could be uploaded and graphics can be added to add interest, but my essay deals with increasing divorce rates and how we as a society can change it. I think the topic is interesting, so I want to use this essay I have, but I dont know where I can appropriately divide the paper into sections.

Hi! I would say use the natural breaks you have in your essay. I'm guessing the body of your essay is divided up, so maybe you can use that as a guiding point to the different pages you can have. Your introduction can fit on the homepage as a welcoming tool that describes all that is in your site. You can also add some some material.....maybe a page devoted to other outside resource on divorce research or have a link of some graphs you created from the data you collected for the essay. Hopes this helps!
Hey, It does sound like an interesting paper. Perhaps you could break it up according to graphs. Do you use stats in your paper? Did you get those from a stat chart? You can hyperlink anytime you refrence a chart to take the reader directly to that information. Perhaps a homepage can be why you thought this was an interesting topic and why you chose it--your introduction of you essay even like Steph says. I hope this helps!
I would also say to go w/ breaking the paper into sections based on your topic breaks within the paper. I think that if you took some of the info and created statistical graphs or other visual representations, that would definitely break up the text and add to the graphic level.
I also think that adding another page devoted to outside resources on divorce statistics, etc. or your own bibliographical citings.
I really like this idea for a site, and I think it could be very interesting!!
